Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 27, 2026. This policy explains how Wallpaper Engine Space handles contact requests, local browser features, analytics, advertising, and newsletter data.

Who operates this website

Wallpaper Engine Space is operated by Schmid Media, Rue De Mamer, Bertrange 8081 Luxembourg. Privacy questions can be sent through the Contact page or to wallpaperenginespace@gmail.com.

Information and purposes

Vercel and security services process technical request information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, requested URL, time, browser information, and diagnostics. WES uses this information for availability, security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.

If you contact WES, the submitted name, email address, topic, message, relevant page links, source links, request reference, and follow-up correspondence are used to review and respond. Rights and removal requests may also include information about the work, the requester's relationship to it, and supporting links.

If you join the newsletter, Kit processes your email address, signup source, subscription status, and unsubscribe or suppression status. Newsletter messages include an unsubscribe route.

Favorites and recently viewed wallpapers are stored locally in your browser. WES does not receive the contents of those lists. Aggregate consented analytics events may show that a feature was used without transmitting the complete list.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Wallpaper Engine Space uses Google Analytics to understand traffic and site performance, and Google AdSense to display and measure advertising. Google may process device, browser, approximate geography, pageview, interaction, cookie, and similar technology data.

When analytics consent is active, aggregate events may record actions such as saving or removing a favorite, opening Favorites or recently viewed items, sharing, and using Random. These events do not include a visitor's complete Favorites or recently viewed list.

Where consent is legally required, analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization remain denied until a valid choice is available through Google's certified consent management platform.

You can reopen the consent message through the Privacy and cookie settings link in the site footer when Google services are active.

The Privacy, Terms, Contact, and Rights and removals pages do not load WES Google Analytics or AdSense scripts.

Legal bases

Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, site delivery, security, abuse prevention, and responding to ordinary or rights-related requests rely on legitimate interests and, where relevant, steps requested by the person or legal obligations. Newsletter delivery relies on consent. Analytics and advertising storage rely on consent where required.

WES does not use contact, Favorites, or recently viewed data for decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Service providers

Current service providers include Vercel for website hosting, Cloudflare R2 for media storage and delivery, Google Analytics for traffic measurement, Google AdSense for advertising, Google's consent management platform for privacy choices, Resend for contact email delivery, Kit for newsletter subscriptions, and Steam Workshop when you open an external wallpaper link.

These providers may process information under their own privacy policies and contractual safeguards. WES does not provide user accounts, site voting, or a user-writable Favorites database.

Retention

Favorites and recently viewed data remain in the visitor's browser until the visitor clears them or the browser's site data. Google Analytics event and user data is configured for 14-month retention.

Ordinary contact correspondence is reviewed for deletion after the request is closed and is normally not kept longer than 12 months. Rights and removal correspondence is reviewed after 24 months from closure. A minimal non-public record may be kept longer when needed to prevent accidental republication, document a decision, resolve a dispute, or meet a legal obligation.

Newsletter data is kept while a subscription is active. A minimal suppression record may be retained after unsubscribe, bounce, or complaint so that WES can continue to honor that status. Hosting, email, analytics, advertising, and security providers may apply their own shorter or legally required retention periods.

Transfers and security

Information may be processed outside your country of residence. Where required, appropriate safeguards provided by our service providers are used. Reasonable security measures are used, but no transmission or storage method is completely secure.

Your rights and complaints

Depending on applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information, or object to processing. You may withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on consent, without affecting earlier lawful processing.

You may also complain to the Luxembourg National Commission for Data Protection, known as the CNPD, or another competent supervisory authority. WES may need reasonable information to locate and verify a request, but please do not send identity documents or unnecessary sensitive information with the first message.
