Rights, Corrections, and Removal Requests

How creators, rights holders, and affected people can request a source correction, attribution correction, preview restriction, or removal from Wallpaper Engine Space.

What this process covers

Use this process for ownership or authorization concerns, incorrect attribution, incorrect Steam Workshop mapping, an unavailable Workshop item, a privacy concern in a preview, or another request involving a specific WES page or media file.

This is an operational correction and removal route. It is available regardless of country and does not limit any rights or remedies under applicable law. WES does not describe it as a formal notice procedure under a law that may not apply.

What to include

Provide the WES page URL, the Steam Workshop or other source URL if available, a clear description of the work or issue, your relationship or authority, the requested outcome, and an email address for follow-up.

Links to public creator profiles, original publication pages, Workshop pages, or other relevant records are usually more useful than identity documents. Do not send identity documents, payment information, or unnecessary sensitive personal data with the first message.

  • Correction: identify the current information and the accurate replacement.
  • Removal or restriction: identify the exact page or preview and the reason for the request.
  • Representative request: explain whom you represent and how WES can verify that authority.

How WES handles a request

The contact system assigns a reference to a delivered request. WES reviews the identified page, source mapping, available records, and the requested outcome. WES may ask for limited additional information when it is necessary to distinguish a genuine request from impersonation or mistake.

A credible urgent concern may lead to a temporary restriction of the public preview or advertising while the review is open. No bulk removal or shared-ID merge is performed automatically.

When a request is accepted, WES applies the appropriate correction or removal, checks internal discovery and sitemap references, addresses public preview and social media files, and records the decision in a non-public operational record to reduce the risk of accidental republication.

Follow-up and disagreement

Keep the request reference for follow-up. If important information was missed or the result appears incorrect, reply with the reference and the additional evidence. WES will reconsider the request using the available information.

Request correspondence is handled under the Privacy Policy. Ordinary rights and removal correspondence is reviewed after 24 months from closure, while a minimal non-public record may be retained longer to prevent accidental republication or document a continuing restriction.

Submit a request

The Contact page is the preferred route because it captures the page and source links and provides a request reference. Email remains available if the form cannot be used.
