WES is an independent website for discovering Wallpaper Engine wallpapers. Browse the previews here, then follow a wallpaper’s Steam Workshop link to subscribe. We do not develop the Wallpaper Engine app.

Browsing WES is free. To use these wallpapers on a Windows PC, you need to buy Wallpaper Engine on Steam. Workshop wallpapers are free to subscribe to after that.

Open its page on WES, follow the Steam Workshop link and select Subscribe. Once Steam finishes downloading it, open Wallpaper Engine, find it under Installed and select it.

WES links to Steam Workshop; it does not provide the Wallpaper Engine project files for direct download. Steam handles downloads and updates for subscribed wallpapers.

Wallpaper Engine has a free Android companion app. Use the Windows app to transfer compatible wallpapers to it. Wallpaper Engine does not have an iPhone app.

If a preview or link on WES is broken, send us the WES page link through Contact. If the wallpaper fails inside Wallpaper Engine, start with our troubleshooting guide.

Use our rights and removal process. Include the WES page link, identify the original work and explain your connection to it so we can review the request.
